W. L. Cassell & Associates, Inc. has a reputation of providing high quality mechanical and electrical consulting services for a wide range of projects. Our longevity in the field in Kansas City, Missouri speaks to our level of service, and to a solid base of repeat clients. While we strive to maintain a small office atmosphere, we are capable of doing very large projects, including some of the “flagship” buildings in the Kansas City metro area. This provides our employees with exposure to all facets of the mechanical and electrical design field.

We provide a relaxed working atmosphere that promotes both employee involvement in our project design decisions, as well as in-house training in engineering and CADD drafting. Our company promotes a learning environment by keeping our younger engineers involved in the design, bidding, and construction of our projects.

Our salary structure remains competitive with the Midwest market and we work to be sure that we maintain strong salary compensation for all of our employees.

· Paid holidays

Full time employees receive the following holidays as paid time off:

New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

· 401K Plan

After one year of employment, each full time employee is eligible to participate in our 401K plan. This includes a 3% of salary company matching program and employee contributed tax deferred savings plan. Our plan has a number of investment options that are open to the employee at his/her discretion and can be accessed via the internet to check balances, make changes, etc.

· Profit Sharing Plan

After one year of employment, each full time employee is eligible to receive an annual profit sharing contribution to their 401K plan account. This contribution is at the discretion of the Corporation and is disbursed to our employees at a pro-rated distribution based on salary.

· Health/Dental/Vision Care Insurance

Each full time employee is covered 100% for their health care insurance. Our plan includes dental and vision coverage as well. Each employee dependants can also be included in the insurance plan, with the additional cost for the dependants paid by the employee. If applicable, employees may choose to pay their dependant’s health care premiums with pre-tax dollars.

· Short and Long Term Disability Insurance

All full time employees who have completed 30 continuous days of employment are eligible for coverage under these policies at no cost to the employee.


· Vacation Time

Full time employees are entitled to vacation time, based on the following:

1st Anniversary Date: 80 hours

3rd through 14th Anniversary Date: 120 hours

15th Anniversary Date and beyond: 160 hours

· Flexible Working Hours

We offer our employees flexible working hours and let each employee set their hours between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, to provide them with the flexibility to meet daycare, family commitments, or other out of office activities.

· Continuing Education

W. L. Cassell & Associates, Inc., encourages our employees to continue their engineering education through attendance at both in-office and out-of-office seminars, memberships in professional organizations (ASHRAE, IES, ASPE, ASHE, to name a few), and attendance at national conventions. To this end, we offer paid licensing for registered Engineers in one state, paid membership fees for one professional organization, and paid time off for attending national conventions for a professional organization if the employee is an officer in the organization.
